DESCRIPTION :

Here is a mobile game for IOS in which I participated. I did 14 levels for the client.

This is a challenging parkour motorcycle game where you have to pass levels with many obstacles.

The game has a cool low poly style and I created several different environments like a city, a forest, a mountain and a construction site.

The result is very pleasant and allows the player to have a good time in levels with a well thought out difficulty.

The game is still in development and will be for IOS devices first and later for Android.

DESCRIPTION :

Here is a cute little level that I designed for a client, this is a top view game for mobile.

The level is made up only of blocks and assets with the same artistic style.

It was cool working on this level and I also created some animations for the game.

The challenge with this map was to create the environment with good traffic for the player. And I think I manage to make the navigation fun and it looks pretty.

DESCRIPTION :

On this project I created five levels for a Parkour type game where the player have to jump, climb walls and found is way to the exit and pass to the next level.

The character is played in third person view so the player has a better overlook to the environment and find where he as to go.

This is an urban environment to have a lot of verticality and fit the Parkour universe.

Some levels are indoor too, so new possibilities of challenges can be made and that offer a variety of environments.

DESCRIPTION :

Pure Mahjong is a beautiful, photorealistic Mahjong game that takes the user on a journey through 24 special Chinese events of the solar calendar.

The game contains hundreds of levels so that the user is presented with 4 'special event' games, for every day of the year. There is also a 'Tea House' where user's can enjoy hundreds more levels, at any time.

With more than 1,000 individually designed levels, Pure Mahjong provides enough variety for months of challenging gameplay. While some levels can be solved in minutes, other may take hours to finally crack. There is a solution for every single level. As a special feature, you can compare your personal results with those of other players that have solved each individual level before you.

On every single day of the year, four new levels await you to be solved. From (relatively) easy to very difficult, players can expect real challenges. For each solved level, the player is awarded with a calorie-free fortune cookie. More than 700 different messages await discovery!

DESCRIPTION :

Here is a map for the prototype of a cartoon game intended for a young audience. For this map the conditions to be respected were to have a small to medium sized map remaining in a natural environment, so a lot of forest, a high mountain, a lot of dirt roads, a big lake, rivers with waterfalls and plains. Around the lake are paved paths, a village, a market place and scattered houses. The cartoon style was chosen to have a greater visual impact, more colorful and more original shapes.

We can see below some assets of nature used for this project.

Cartoon Assets

To create this map I used the Unity game engine, first of all I created the terrain thanks to the Gaea program, a terrain generator, then imported it and textured with the assets that gave me was made available by my client. This project was carried out in one month, I determined and adapted the map with the client continuously during the project.

DESCRIPTION :

This is a creation I made for a first-person hunting game. This map is made up of forests, lakes, marshes, rivers, streams, mountains, plains and valleys. This map is relatively large to immerse the player in a natural environment rich in varied landscapes. The graphic style of the game is semi-realistic and was created with a dedicated asset pack, including 3D models of trees and rocks, then textures of herbs, rocks and so. Then I used a terrain generator to create all of the terrain used in the map.

DESCRIPTION :

Here is a level achieved for a freelance mission. The level is intended for a game based on the story of the 3 little pigs. The instructions I got for this level were as follows, the level had to start in an open area where the mother of the 3 little pigs lived. The level must be linear from right to left. The objective of the game is to roam the forest and collect resources to build houses there to resist the attack of the big bad wolf.

On the course the player will have to face enemies and will be able to heal himself thanks to harvestable berries scattered in the forest. So the level consists of 6 zones. The first and that of the house of the three little pigs, the second and the areas to build the straw house, then after this finds an area where several enemies are found, the fourth and the area to build the wooden house, then find an area where there is a bridge crossing a lake and finally the last area and the one where the brick house is to be built.

Koda: Kiyomori's Guardian / 2018

DESCRIPTION :

Koda: Kiyomori's Guardian is a 3D platform adventure video game in Japanese folklore with a poetic / dreamlike dimension. You play as Koda, a tanuki (not to be confused with a raccoon!) Guardian of the Kiyomori forest.

The forest is divided into 4 large separate areas protected by divine entities. There is a forest area, an area composed of waterfalls, a third is located in ruins and the last inside a temple. After a terrible event, the forest finds itself corrupted and infested with Yokais, demonic spirits! Koda will have to muster all her courage and use her abilities to overcome the obstacles that stand in her way. He will also have to face and absorb the Yokais to liberate the entities and purify the forest!

THE PROJECT :

Koda: Kiyomori's Guardian is a 3-month development project as part of the Gamagora training course (grouping a Masters in programming, a DU Level Design and a DU 3D computer graphics) at the University Lumière Lyon 2. The game was made by 17 students in partnership with CPE and MAAAV. It was presented at the Gamagora Game Show on April 27, 2018 along with 2 other games.

The game is currently under development but a first version of the game is available.

DESCRIPTION :

The city of Data City is under attack by a horde of destructive viruses determined to contaminate everything. Fortunately, Antivirus, the city's superhero, is there to prevent its spread. His goal: to defend the foundations of the city by stopping the spread of viruses before they destroy the Core, the nerve center of your city, which keeps this virtual world in place without it everything would disappear.



OBJECTIVE :

Protect the Core in the city center before virus corruption reaches it. To do this, freeze the infected areas, rebuild the destroyed cubes and put in a condition to harm the viruses causing the spread of the infection.

Antivirus is a student project made up of a team of 5 people including myself in which I was in charge of the Level Design of the game.

My tasks on this project were to imagine the virtual place where the game could take place, once the ideas were expressed and confirmed between us, we reflected on the graphic style to adopt so that it best corresponds to the chosen universe , once that was done I got down to composing a digital city close to the universe of the film "Tron" but in a voxel and neon style, I made sure to create a central place in this city to be able to place there the Core to allow the player to find their way more easily, then around this central place I positioned buildings of various sizes with terraces so that the player can jump from buildings to buildings. Many of the buildings are connected by bridges which allow better accessibility from one terrace to another.

Antivirus

The city has color codes, the roads are turquoise blue, the buildings blue, the roofs of the buildings dark blue, the central square in white and the limits of the map are in red.

For the construction of the world I made sure to create modular parts which can be assembled with each other so as to save time and flexibility. So buildings, roads and bridges are a collection of Unity prefabs.

The world also has a particularity, it is that it is separated into districts, that is to say that during the contamination of a district by a virus this one cannot be propagated in another district, in order not to make the contamination too uncontrollable.

DESCRIPTION :

Here is a map that I designed for the game "Unreal Tournament", for the game mode capture the flag 3v3. I created the map with the "Unreal Development Kit" software and its basic elements. The concept of the level consists in representing an underground sewer crossing, this type of place inspired me because it offers confinement and a multitude of caches and accesses which for a game mode like capturing the flag lend themselves perfectly to it. to offer surprise encounters and a game of hide and seek between the players. The murky world of sewers also appealed to me because the visual elements are strong and give a very special atmosphere.

Underground Water Junction

The space configuration for this level consists of two crossroads of waterways. Along these routes are accesses that allow traffic, so it is possible to have a view of an enemy on the other side of the stream so players can either flee the fight by entering the buildings in the surrounding area, either engage in long-range combat or take a risk by making a jump over the river

Along the accesses of watercourses, have buildings or can sneak players so as to avoid exposure to enemies when they go directly through the main routes, however when players use the interior of buildings, when rival players cross paths the fight can be more difficult because of the surprise effect and the lack of space that the places offer and also the fact that other enemies can come from all sides.

The buildings all have one floor so the level offers a dimension of verticality and it is possible to be surprised by a player at height or below you and there are accesses from one building to another by bridges or pipes on which players can jump on it.

DESCRIPTION :

Here are some maps of Trackmania that I made for a Level Design course whose purpose was to make circuits that must meet very specific criteria, such as having certain elements or a specific difficulty given by our teacher.

There is a cross trail of green difficulty which is simple to perform, so the challenge on a track of this type is to take the curves as perfectly as possible and manage its speed the best.

This track also has an asphalt part at the beginning and end of the track to vary the behavior adopted by the player and added a little difficulty, and the player must perform three laps, so he has the opportunity to improve his skills every turn.

The second track is a blue difficulty track which is of race type, therefore which starts from point A to finish at point B. This track contains many curves, ascent and descent which intermingle and for the end of the track is a long straight line filled with boosters. The difficulty of this track and to succeed in taking all the curves and jumps as best as possible, only that will make the difference, a lot of braking is necessary to succeed on this track, you have to balance your speed.

For the third and last green level track, I made a very competitive track where the player has to make jumps, pass in a narrow passage and make loops, all accelerating by boosters. This relatively simple track is finished but the challenge is felt when trying to beat his speed record.

DESCRIPTION :

This is the city of Claycity, a Minecraft world in which I built a large North American-looking city. The map was created in the creative mode of the game and the scale of the buildings is reduced by a quarter compared to the player. The city is currently divided into two islands and consists of a very dense city center with lots of skyscrapers, two parks, a commercial port, a stadium, a large beach, an airport, a central nuclear and a military base the islands are linked by several bridges and an overhead metro crosses the city.

DESCRIPTION :

Sleeping Pit and a student project carried out by three. My role in the group was to develop the game design and the first level design of the prototype. Sleeping Pit and a fantastic medieval puzzle game. The concept of the game revolves around a specific mechanism, the prison where the player is and populates with slimes and the player has the ability to split them and thus solve puzzles to escape from this prison.

Sleeping Pit

The game is called Sleeping Pit because the prison where the hero of the game is and a kind of giant well that goes very deep into the earth, only few rays of the sun pass inside, and unfortunately for our hero it is is almost at the bottom of it so getting out will not be an easy task. So for this game we have based our levels around a gaping hole, so there are a multitude of rooms that revolves around this well, the only way for the player is to manage to navigate and solve the puzzles of these rooms to be able to go up one level at a time until reaching the surface. The map is not entirely linear because in places the player will have the possibility to choose between several rooms to continue his progression. Each floor ends with a boss room and he will have the challenge of finding a way to move forward without dying. As he progresses through the floors, the atmospheres change as well as the creatures that the player meets, then the player will gain new abilities that will allow him to solve new puzzles.

DESCRIPTION :

Tom Atom Rescue is a 2D pixel art platform and RPG game set in a futuristic universe. The game takes place in a small town where people are always very busy and will not hesitate to let you know whether to ignore or give you a job. Flying cars, teleporter, hologram etc. All the clichés about the future will be present in this game.

In this game you embodied a small robot that is alone in a large hangar where it seems to be full of research devices it looks more like a laboratory than anything else, and indeed yes you are all alone, it would seem that your creator has disappeared, you don't know why or how, the only thing you knew is that you have to find him. So in this futuristic universe you will have to explore, talk to people and perform services for them to find the track of your creator. As your progress the robot can be improved with new components, you could buy or win new weapons, because yes this world can sometimes be hostile to you, so equip yourself as best you can to defend yourself.
